The Hellenic Congress of Quebec (HCQ) unites Greek Organizations & Communities representing Canadians of Hellenic heritage living in Quebec.

Description

The Hellenic Congress of Quebec (HCQ) is an association of Greek organizations and communities representing Canadians of Hellenic heritage living in Quebec, to various levels of government. It promotes education, communication, and cooperation between Canadians of Hellenic origin and other ethnic groups, and promotes the development of just and equitable policies and legislation concerning all citizens. The HCQ encourages and promotes the retention, development and promotion of Hellenism in Quebec within the rich multicultural context of Quebec and Canada.

Since its inception in 1987, the HCQ has advanced its goals by establishing, promoting, and organizing a number of educational, cultural, social, and political projects and activities. The HCQ is a member of the national Hellenic Canadian Congress which is an umbrella organization representing over 350,000 Canadians of Greek heritage across Canada.

Board of Directors

The Board of Directors (BOD) of the Hellenic Congress of Quebec (HCQ) is comprised of the Delegates of our Member Associations that are elected at the General Assembly, which is held every two years to conduct the elections. The current members of the HCQ BOD are the following:
